Founded in 1968 by Joanna Neicho and Julius Schofield, Indesign has long enjoyed an international reputation for finding the right fashion design talent for our worldwide clients, from the most junior design appointment to the most senior.

Indesign also undertakes Executive Searches, Freelance Placements and Graduate Appointments.

Our website is designed to provide you with the essential information on these services, access to our current database of jobs for which we are actively seeking professionals, and an Art School Report on the latest fashion graduates.

Current users of Indesign’s recruitment services have been issued with direct access links to view our Recruitment Newsletter which gives details of experienced professionals seeking new positions or challenges.

All candidates recommended by Indesign have been interviewed in person.

OUR SERVICES

  • DESIGNER PLACEMENT

Indesign provides the ideal service for recruiting fashion designers to fill vacancies in design studios using our unique records of professionals built up over 35 years.

Fees are based on 20% of the total annual remuneration for UK clients and are payable on placement. For international clients, this fee is 25%.

  • DESIGNER SEARCHES

Indesign undertakes searches to pinpoint the right talent for the most exacting UK and international design positions. Confidentiality is often a prime factor and Indesign has an enviable reputation in this respect.

Fees are based on 25% of the total remuneration and are payable in three tranches – the first on commencement, the second on short-listing and third on placement. Both of the first two tranches are non-refundable.

  • EXECUTIVE SEARCH

Indesign provides a fresh approach to international executive searches seeking out senior management with a passion for lifestyle and fashion products.

Fees are based on 30% of the total remuneration and are payable in three tranches - the first on commencement, the second on short-listing and third on placement.

  • FREELANCE PLACEMENT

Indesign has a selected list of highly talented freelance designers for urgent and difficult to fill roles.

We are also very experienced in finding the right talent for maternity cover and other short term contracts.

Fees are based on 25% of the total remuneration payable during the completion of the contract, or within the first year.

  • GRADUATE PLACEMENT

Indesign’s annual Art School Report is primarily designed as an aid to help talented fashion graduates get their first job in the fashion world. However some of Indesign's recruitment clients find it convenient to use our services for graduate placements, rather than contacting the Art Schools direct.

Fees are based on 10% of the total annual remuneration and are payable on placement. This special rate is available only until the end of the graduation year. New subscribers will be charged £80 for the report and the quarterly newsletters.

  • INDESIGN ART SCHOOL REPORT - 44TH EDITION - GRADUATES 2015

The Graduate Fashion Week venue at The Truman Brewery has quickly established itself as the ideal venue as most of the early problems have been solved. The shows were impressive and there is a great deal of enthusiasm for all the new work.

The productions showed the mood and spirit of the bright young talent and we are sure that this will translate into a perfect start for their careers. All the Art Colleges should be congratulated on the great effort they have put in to make this possible.

From the practical employment situation, it is clear that the Art Colleges that have their own strong, professional background, and are instilling this in their students, are in the best position to help them get the right first jobs - Westminster is a perfect example of how this can be done.

We would, once more, like to thank everyone involved in making this report possible, from the course directors and the tutors to the great team of workers and supporters of Graduate Fashion Week, and not forgetting the enthusiastic graduates who we interviewed.

We hope that this report will encourage our clients to employ the best of the new talent that we have selected. Do let us know if you need our help - we have a special new talent rate until the end of this year to encourage our clients to take on the best of these graduates.
